Rocky enters the ring! The original boxing-epic from 1976 got scanned in 4K and will be re-released as „Mastered in 4K“ Blu Ray in 2014. The 4K Remaster will upgrade the „Rocky“-Box, in wich all six Rocky movies are bundled. Unfortunately only the first part of the Rock Saga is reissued.
In addition to the improved image quality by 4k scanning, color- and image-correction, the sound-pitch has been adjusted so you dont have to worry how Rocky will sound on your high-end sound system. If Rocky screams „ADRIAN.. i did it!“ at the End of the Movie, you will know they did a good job. In Europe the remastered Rocky I Movie arrives on 14th February.
It’s a pity that only the first Movie is reissued and rescanned in 4K. Many fans would have loved an complete reissue of the Rocky-Saga, including the latest part released in 2006. More films are yet to be released scanned in 4k as Twentieth Century Fox is celebrating their anniversary. There are rumors that „Robocop“ and „The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly“ will be the next releases.
